[Dow Jones] The latest attempt by Suncor Energy Inc. to acquire Canadian Oil Sand signals crude oil prices are likely bottoming out, says Daniel Ang, a Phillip Futures Energy analyst. "In a commodity downturn, cash rich companies start to acquire cheaply valued equities; while debt laden companies struggle to make ends meet," he says, citing the planned tie-up of Royal Dutch Shell and British Gas as an example."
